Editorial summary

McCulloch and collaborators report a 1,268.46 Mb genome assembly for a male Scaphidium quadrimaculatum collected in England. The assembly places 99.02% of the sequence in 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules, includes the X and Y chromosomes and a 19.84 kb mitochondrial genome, and deposits the data through the Darwin Tree of Life project.
