Two mitochondrial genomes and the phylogenetic relationships of Silpha (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Silphinae)

Wei Zhen, Ruixin Zhang, Qiqi Lian, Qiang Ding, Xinwen Yang, Jiale Zhou, Yuli Ma, Tongbo Zhang, Rongrong Shen, Ming Bai

Editorial summary

Zhen and co-authors report and compare the first complete mitochondrial genomes for Silpha, based on S. carinata and S. perforata. Their Bayesian and maximum-likelihood analyses support the monophyly of Silpha and a close relationship between the two focal species.
